Healthcare Information Management System Using Android OS

Abstract—Healthcare Companion is an android application which provide symptoms of many diseases along with their treatment and location of the doctor which is specialized for that particular diseases. Healthcare companion will also provide the diet which is best suited to recover from that particular illness. Along with all of these basic facilities the application will also provide an emergency button that if pressed will alert the nearest Hospital facility along with the hospital’s location. Therefore this application can be used by anyone who has a smartphone with internet facility. This application will prove to be very useful in today's world where diseases are spreading like a wildfire. The application also consist of a Panic Alert feature which will send the location and emergency message to any five selected person if user is in any trouble. Along with that user can also determine disease from the symptoms and then can see if he/she can treat the disease on its own or need help of a doctor.https://codeshoppy.com/shop/product/ehealth-care/ To accomplish the location of the hospital as well as the user’s location information both geocoding and reverse geocoding were used along with location API’s Keywords—Geocoding; Reverse Geocoding; API; Panic Alert

INTRODUCTION 
 Android is considered as a revolutionary change in the world of mobile operating systems. Every human being nowadays possess a smartphone which consists of various types of applications [1]. Healthcare companion is an android application which will provide numerous features that a person is unable to get in a single application. Healthcare companion is basically an android. Application which consist of various emergency as well as informatory features. Features such as Panic Call, Panic Alert and Hospitals has been given in this application which uses location API’s. Along with them this application also provide a Symptom Checker which will roughly provide details about a disease which a user can have by analyzing the symptoms. Fig. 1.Healthcare Companion Home screenThis research paper will further tell us about how this application can be prove to be useful in today’s world where diseases are spreading like wildfire. The organization of the paper is as follows. Section II will consist of Literature Review of the problem. Section III will include Methodology followed by Section IV, V and VI which will comprise of Results, Conclusion and Future Work.

 LITERATURE REVIEW 
 An artificial neural network (ANN) in regular disease diagnosis has been explored. “Thereal procedure of medical diagnosis which usually is employed by physicians was analyzed and converted to a machine implementable format. 

After selecting some symptoms, the MLP neural network is execeuted on a set of few hundred cases of eight different diseases with a data set information . The results of the experiments and also the advantages of using a fuzzy approach were discussed as well. Results recommend the use of data fuzzification on an automatic diagnosis system. Hypertension is caused by Blood Pressure. Blood Pressure is the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls [2]. The blood is pumped up by the heart in the blood vessels. If the person suffers from high blood pressure, that could result in severe symptoms and diseases such as Fatigue, headache, Vision problem and chest pain or irregular heartbeat or blood in the urine”. Hypertension can cause “Stroke, Heart failure, Heart attack, Kidney failure and Vision problems [3]. Men have a greater likelihood of developing high BP than women. This varies according to age and among various ethnic groups. In some cases, computer-based assisted diagnoses have been claimed to be even more accurate than those by clinicians. 

For predicting the output, it is one of the most interesting, intriguing and demanding tasks in which a application is developed on basis on Neural Network. Neural Networks are only applicable where people are involved in solving problem but computers not. Neural Networks usually provides a very broad method to approach and tackle issues”. Though Neural Network provide a way to determine the disease but it is way expensive and somehow difficult to achieve. There are few applications which provide SOS features and few which help the user to determine disease from symptoms but right now no app exist which provide both these features along with information about the nearest hospital and its location. For determining users location or that of nearest hospital location API has been used. A.Google Location Services API One of the key uniqueness of mobile applications are Location Awareness. 

Google Play Services Location API add this awareness of user’s location to user’s application. One can start using Google locations services after receiving API KEY. Fig. 2.API KeyB.Symptom Checker Various applications provides different methods to check or compute disease by analyzing symptoms. There are numerous algorithms which computes name of the diseases by cross referring the symptoms and thus deducing a method to obtain the name of the disease one can have [5]. But this method requires a large amount of computation and thus requires more time and storage space thus decreasing the efficiency of the application. Then there was a developer from Russia who proposed the idea of using human skeleton so that one can pin point on the location of pain or see the location of the symptom which can thus help in determining the name of the disease with requiring much less computation, space thus saving time and increasing efficiency of the application [6]. 58
